White powdery specks on lotus

Hello. I’ve noticed for a while now that there is some kind of white powder that forms on the surface of a few of my lotus leaves. It seems to go away when I pour water onto the leaves but it reappears a couple of hours later. Anyone know what that is and if it is harmful? If it is something I should worry about, how do I get rid of it?

Also, if anybody is interested or seen my previous posts, here is an update picture of my lotus. I have come to find out that my lotus pot has been serving as a bird bath, so that must be where some of the scratch marks and holes on the leaves have come from.

If the birds are bathing there, they are probably stirring up the soil the lotus is planted in, hence the white substance.

The white spots could be mineral deposits left over from drops of water that dried on the leaves.
