The other day I noticed a white spot on one of my goldfishes dorsal fin, today it looked a little bigger. It looks fluffy. The fish are in a pond all year. nothing has been added to the pond since last summer. Fungus maybe? Any ideas on what it could be and what I should do would be appreciated.

Hi, I finally was able to get a couple of pictures. one of the people from the fish store said it just looks like it was injured and to keep an eye on it but I still wanted to post and get another opinion. I don't have a lot of faith in some of the people working there.It also looks like some of the side scales were scraped.Kind of metallic. From spawning maybe? I noticed this time last year they were chasing a lot. The fluffy stuff that was on it is gone now it just looks like a missing fin tip.

Aww, sorry to hear this....I saw your photos but could only see that part of the fin was missing (which I assume was an injury) but other than that the fish looked okay to me (which is why I didn't reply)
