I'm floating the idea of an above ground pool.
But thinking that would look tacky pretty quick.
The yard is mostly sand and rocks. Big rocks.
This area is literally reclaimed 1960s swampland.

I Have never fed my koi growth food so I was hoping they would grow at a slower rate.Well it did work somewhat .Mine were just mutts also and was hoping that would slow growth down also .Plus no one ever told me about koi and how big they get .

I am so thankful that my koi have remained smaller. The white koi is only about 12" and is 11 years old. I was worried that the yellow and black koi was going to get too big because he grew really fast in the beginning, but he is only about 11" at 8 years old.

Males are supposed to be smaller.

Our males are smaller girth wise, but they are as long as the females at this point. Maybe they will stop getting longer and the females will keep growing - we'll see. Personally I hope they all stay just the way they are!
