The last two evenings I've spotted this aquatic creature that is about 2" long, very thin, has legs, antennae. Maybe in the shrimp family. I saw one last night and two tonight. One night I'll drag out the camera. Any thoughts? It looks like a water stick bug to me.

Also, how ca nyou tell the difference between koi fry and goldfish/shubunkin fry? I have a couple of really skinny, really quick gray fry, several gray fry, several more round gray fry, some gold and some spotted. I think several may have been hitchhikers, but the spawn in my new pond seems to be never ending. The survival rate seems to be very high! Oh my goodness!:100:

Dragonfly larvae are good!

Koi fry will have the barbels (whiskers), goldfish and koiXgoldfish crosses will not. May have to let them get a wee bit bigger to check though!
