Finally have some pics. (I have a ton so will have to post in several replies.)
First pic is of the trees (willows) behind the pond. They dump their leaves and make a huge mess in the bottom of the pond.
Next pic, can't see my fish more than and inch or so below the water even though I have two biological filters going 24/7:frown:
Third is where the new pool skimmer will be installed. Time to start dropping the water level to install this bad boy....

Pic1: this is the tagelus 60D filter that i filled with 150 lbs of "Zeobrite." (Has more surface area than sand and is easier to back-wash.)
Pic 2: attach the pump to filter and then the skimmer to pump.
Pic 3: skimmer installed in liner at opposite end of waterfall, water level dropped about 18 inches. Time to start filling and see how it works:fingersx:
Pic 4: back of pond after removing 25 or so willows. Didn't want to remove all because they do provide shade and I also love the way they look in the ponds' reflection. Plus didn't want husband to kill me :(
Just waiting for pond to finish filling....

After just 4 days these are the results!!
Yup... there is the pond I always wanted! I can see the fishs' shadows on the bottom of the pond. The second pic (of the lilies) is actually four feet deep. Installing this filter was the best decision ever. We have back washed it daily for about 3 minutes each time. I think we are going to attach a few wine barrels to the backwash hose. That way we can save the water and use it on our garden.
