I looked at Prime but i don't know what the dosage is for 1000 Gal. pond

I found this but for 1000 GL = 33.2 66.4 Confused.

They mention using a double dose for high chloramine concentrations, looks like that is where the range comes from. Use the lowest amount recommended unless you have the high chloramine. 1000 gallons=3.25 capfuls or 6.5 teaspoons, unless you prefer the metric measurements you listed.

I use Safe. It's the same thing, but in a powdered form and more concentrated than Prime. Easier to use for larger amounts of water.

The mistake people make is they assume if they add 100 gallons of water to a pond then then added for a 100 gallons when in fact if you add 100 gallons or even a 1000 gallons to a pond that is 5000 gallons then you add prime for 5000 gallons of water not 100 or even 1000 . The way to conserve prime is to add your water to a know volume and add prime to that .I have a 3000 gallon cistern and when I have to top off due to lack of rain I'll do so by adding water to the cistern and put the prime in there. Let if mix there before it goes to the pond and I'm not dosing for 16000 gallons

Im pretty sure you can remove chlorine with vitamin c. I did a little bit of research on it last year and it seems to be a legitamite alternative. I dont know if it removes chloramines. I would research further before using it, as i didnt research it extensively.
I did use it myself when filling my pond for first time. Had no problems.

Vitamin C also works on chloramine.
