Hi I've had a pond for years it's about 6000 liters it's very basic standard box filter with UV set up i added a 60 liter drum of biological media last year and there is an air pump nothing fancy.
Over the years fish have come and gone I'm not entirely sure how many shubunkins and koi are living in there any more. Recently for the first time there seems to be a disease running wild and killing fish "ive had the odd bit of sickness in the past and lost fish but a trip to the local pond shop and a treatment seemed to sort it.
I don't have a microscope so i cant scrap. The fish mostly seem healthy they eat and swim fine don't sit at the surface or the bottom but many have developed symptoms there there seems to be white fluff on them "out of the water looks like mucas out of the water under the mucas around the edge of the scales is red and are "flashing " rubbing them self on the bottom of the pond. Only the younger smaller fish seem to be getting very sick dieing so far seems like a parasite . The pond shop gave me NT labs anti parasite and fungus pond Eradick 9. A 5 day corse of This seemed to help but not cure it back to the shop this time I'm told it is probably a secondary bacteria infection caused be the parasite. NT labs anti-ulcer finrot and flukes pond bacterad 8. NT labs seems to be the brand they push at the shop A week later. Fish are still getting sick and dieing. I have checked PH, ammonia nitrates ect all results where fine any advice would be helpful and appreciated

Have you tested the water? 6000l is approximately 1600 gallons so you could be overstocked. Fish dying off is usually a sign of poor water quality.

Can you post your test results? Also, are you using test strips or liquid type tests?

Did you test for KH?

Sorry for all the questions, but that information would give us a better idea of what is going on with your pond.

As @mrsclem stated, most problems are the result of water quality issues, so that is usually the best place to start

I tested the water before I started treatment, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate PH, Gh, Kh. All levels were good "I dont remember exact results. I haven't retested since I started treatments as I'm not sure if they would affect the results.
To be honest I never really thought about overstock but do you think that could be a problem even with good water at a guess
I'd estimate 30 total only 3 koi are large "30-50"cm maybe 6 at around 15-20cm maybe 10 or so asorted small. Less than 10cm
Shbunkins 5 10 -15cm rest are little.
The spec for the filter is well over ratered the buff said suitable for kio pond upto 12000 liters pump runs at 10000 lph it was a matched kit style.
I have some pictures of the latest victim I'll post.
