Hello
I'm looking to see if anyone can identify these fry for me. At the start of may we decided to add a small wildlife pond to the garden, purchased some snails to help keep the pond clean, a water mint plant from a local aquatics centre along with some pond oxygenators and a dwarf lily from an aquatic shop on Amazon.
On the 11th June imagine my shock when looking in the pond to see 2 very small fish fry swimming around! I'm guessing these have come from the plants although I do get pigeons bathing in the pond with a fishing lake just over the banking from my back garden so maybe possible eggs have been brought in by a bird but less likely.
Any ideas what they are? They are surviving on the algae from the side of the pond. The photos were taken on the 11th June. They only seem to come out at night time now. They haven't changed in size up to now.
Thankyou in advance.
