Silver tarnished from pond water?

OK so I spent about 40 minutes bare-legged in my pond getting rid of the darn blanket weed. When I got our and washed off I noticed my two toe rings which are silver were both tarnished a brassy colour.
Anyone any idea why this would be and what could cause it, please?
I know bleach makes silver go black but this was brassy

100% had them on my tootsies for many years! It was very strange

Suspect it has something to do with the acidity or possibly sulfides in the pond water.
