Do I need to add some bottom feeding fish to clean up the bottom of my pond? If so what kind? Currently I have some minnows and the pond is only 24” deep max and 600 gallons.

Not really necessary.....if you have enough circulation and a filter it should keep the bottom relatively clean, especially in a 600 gallon pond. I imagine the minnows are going down to pick at anything down there edible, as well.

Nothing keeps the bottom clean like a cat fish

Max Thrust, are you a pilot or an aviation enthusiast? I was looking at your signature and \-o-O-o-/ is a jet! Cool!

Instead of bottom feeders you can put a homem, ade sprinkler system in the bottom of your pond .It aerates and cleans at the same time .I made 2 for my pond and all the extra water from the pump goes in it and the holes in the pvc spreads it across the bottom of the pond .You can build one by using a pond hose and capping the 1 end and drilling holes in the hose and putting a splitter on a pump
