I never knew that.

@combatwombat Your pond looks beautiful. And I love it that your daughter is swimming in it. I can't wait to follow your journey when you add fish.

I checked my decoder ring, but it didn't come up with anything for PP dip. And my imagination is leading me astray...

I’m of the mind right now that I’d like to just let nature do its thing here without a lot of intervention from me.

We’ll see if I change my mind about that if I spend money on fish and then something wipes them all out.

I gave up trying to remove string algae this fall. It just kept coming back. Kind of thought a few days of freezing weather would finally kill it off, but nope! Definitely killed off the top growth of all the existing plants I want, but the string algae remains! Damn, that stuff is hardy.

Giving serious thought to treating with algaefix and adding pond dye until our plants are more established.

One thing I never fought, string algae. Just a bit on the waterfalls.

You think some salt would stunt/kill the algae without harming the other plants? What concentration would I be shooting for?

I need some more of your pond energy. I'm always fighting something. I've just been trying to convince myself that I like the algae.
