HELP turtle woken from hibernation

We put a turtle in our pond a few years ago and it hibernated fine this year a local neighbour brought us the turtle in February wondering wether it was ours it was. He is very sluggish and still in hibernation. Should I put him back in our pond leave him near the pond or wake him from hibernation and put him in a tank indoors. Any help appreciated.

if he's still sluggish I might put in mud near pond? Where did the neighbor find him?

I would bring the turtle indoors for the next few months until it warms up. Sometimes they can be in rough shape when coming out of brumation, just to be safe bring it inside,
