Need Advice Getting Started

we are going to stay in the low to mid 50's all week but today and tomorrow near 70 .Darn cold front by wednesday and it will only be in the low 50's but with rain and ground already is so wet and not draining well

Well, we're still ice-fishing on Lake Simcoe up here in Ontario. There's two feet of ice on the lake. 2 degrees C today.
