Pond construction viewing window in Canada? possible?

Has anyone built a koi pond with a viewing window in Canada, specifically Southern Ontario?
Every image I've seen seems to be in milder climates

Maybe it would be helpful if you either changed the title of this thread, or started another one titled, such as “koi pond with viewing window in Canada.”

USA , England , Canada it matters not you can't let the surface freeze and swell against the glass . thus why they all have a header above the glass. or they have to keep the pond heated or covered in winter
