I will be gone for the weekend and temps here are very hot. Temps around 98 for the next few days and heat index from 100 to 115F, So using what I have to help shade the pond while I'm gone. No time to order a proper shade sail or something so went and bought some cheapie tarps and hoping this will add some extra shade. Yes I know its redneck but we are kind of redneck. ;) :D Hoping all is well when I get back. Hubby will be home but his motto has always been the strong will survive.

Ropes attach to whatever was close. Tree, Old yard light post, birdfeeder post.
Hubby is in charge of watering a few flower pots. Wonder what they will look like when I get back. ;)

Thanks but if we get much wind or a storm I don't think it will fare well.

Nice pond! As for the shade sail, the only drawback I can see is that a strong wind could rip it loose. Shade sails are made of an open-weave fabric that lets air through. We ponders tend to be an innovative lot, don't we?
