Words mean little , lets see the ponds, sounds like your doing this a bit for others, well lets see your creations . We love to see ponds that others have built and what has worked for them
120,000 3 skimmers 25x30 upflow bog half the ledges are upflow plant bogsYeah your at 30 % or better, the sweet spot. Gigantic build how many gallons d0o you estimate
Mine are suction grids on the bottomYeah so we are on the same page. your and upflow. The undergravel i believe the poster was refering to was pulling the water down through the gravel instead of pushing it up through. The grid at the bottom of a pond is an added bonus. The first i saw that had the wetland filter at the bottom of the pond was the ohio fish rescue. I have seen many videos of his pond with massive fish and hundreds of small fish water and fish always look great .
Aerobic bacteria. No muck out cleaning. Less maintenanceThe advantage being ?
This is gorgeous @steelesland . I love the bog being underwater as part of the pond and not necessarily above it or off to the side and that it's creating a kind of "Shallow" area. Are you holding back the bog gravel with a retaining wall? Was it rocks and boulders or bricks? How are you handling aeration for the pond since I don't see waterfalls in there?
