What do you know about an under gravel suction filter?

Yeah so we are on the same page. your and upflow. The undergravel i believe the poster was refering to was pulling the water down through the gravel instead of pushing it up through. The grid at the bottom of a pond is an added bonus. The first i saw that had the wetland filter at the bottom of the pond was the ohio fish rescue. I have seen many videos of his pond with massive fish and hundreds of small fish water and fish always look great .

Mine are suction grids on the bottom

This is gorgeous @steelesland . I love the bog being underwater as part of the pond and not necessarily above it or off to the side and that it's creating a kind of "Shallow" area. Are you holding back the bog gravel with a retaining wall? Was it rocks and boulders or bricks? How are you handling aeration for the pond since I don't see waterfalls in there?
