I dug up some plants from the real bog near our property and added them to the bog area.
We added a couple of gold fish to start, then a couple of small koi, and then a bunch more goldfish. I don't want to invest too much yet in case they don't make it through the winter.
Some friends bought us a lily as a pond-warming gift. The frogs seem to like it.
I found some flat rocks and arranged them to create an adequate waterfall. Hopefully I can rip this stuff out in the future in case I find something better.

Not sure if I did the bog right, but basically just ended the host in the bottom, added some large base rocks, re-used a bunch of landscape rock for a middle layer, and then added pea gravel for the top layer.
Added liner to the upper pond and river.
Added a skimmer/filter, pump, and 2 inch pvc hose to the upper/bog pond.
