17 yr. CICADAS

What do I do about being BARRAGED by a gazillion 17 yr cicadas? They are squeezing thru my net - and a bazillion are dead in the bottom of my freshly cleaned pond. I don't have a filter - but have 2 aerators & use pond chemicals to keep the Ph right. I have plants in there, too. I just had the whole thing cleaned by a professional - the water cleansed of chlorine - and now this. Can I just put some Microbe Lift in there? HELP! The pond is 21 yrs old and before this, pretty successful.

I would just constantly net them out We have had zero so far, out in frederick

Best thing would be to net them out.

You could cover the pond with a mesh net.

Dang that's a heck of a drive if you are where I remember. Thats why I ride the harley my entertainment is right outside to ride to get to her.

On an unrelated note - let's talk about those chemicals you use to "keep the pH right" sometime.
