Darn, too bad the one in the trap got out !
Agree, she was getting home, got home putting on snake removal clothes, I saw it wiggle out. 5 more minutes would have had it.

I mainly make sure I have gloves on. And good shoes, don't want to slip and fall.

We have a small black rat snake that's been hanging out in our yard for the last week. Doesn't look like it's having any luck finding a meal. I stopped it from crossing the road today. People here would go out of their way to run it over. Pulled the mesh netting up from my berry bushes and removed the small hole netting from the pond. The only frogs we have this year are tree frogs.

So strange , nothing but snakes last year, the year before. This year caught the one small juvenile, saw big fat mom, have not seen or caught a snake since.

I am thrilled, not believing it until the end of the year. Maybe they moved on, got eaten, died, whatever, but right now snake free.

Fingers, toes, paws all crossed for you...but...it's early...
I have pictures of a lot of them when they showed up early May last year and constantly after that. We are darn dry and it has been cool evenings, so waiting for constant warm before I am totally happy.
