one filter and one pump turned off . The other pump and filter and aerator still going . It has been in the 50's and 60's during the day with plenty of sun , but at night deeps down to the 20's . Electric company got another rate increase so my bill a month went up from 80 to 90 dollars to now after 3 rate increases 190 to over 200 dollars a month . I added R30 to attic and to fllors and my usage went down but increased rates killed that savings . Nopthing else available around here but propane and I saw what happens when a hunters bullet hits a big propane tank . My nighbors was hit with a stray bullet almost 3 years ago . All these stupid solar farms and transmission lines and they say it is not for us . Thousands and thousands of acres of trees cut down and they wonder why air quality went down DUHHHH Then our hillsides look like hell

On your bill for tank adapters what are they made of gold . I just bought a 2 and 3 inch tank adapters for my rain barrels at rural king this week and the 2 inch was 3.99 and the 3 inch was 5.99 and I also bought a 4 inch one and that was 8.99 . I bought a rain barrel the holds 150 gallons . Never saw one that big before . I bought it from a local guy who told me it was used at car washes also . It cost me 30 dollars . He only had one and I want anther one for by my new shed to catch gutter water . The darn thing was heavy to move but worth it . Better than the 50 gallon ones . Gonna use a sump pump hose .I found out if I want to use a smaller hose I can just screw on adapter into the stock tank adapter .I want it to mix in manure tea to fertilize my lawn

Hey everyone, thank you for all your replies they have been so helpful. This is the second year of the DIY pond construction for my mom. I have made some progress since the last update. I bought the pond liner and 2 skimmer boxes. I started digging out a trench for the pipes that will connect up to the waterfall. The instructions for the skimmer boxes say to place the water level 5 inches from the top of the skimmer boxes to the water line. I posted some pictures of where I have the water line set right now with a laser level. My question is, where should I set the water line relative to the stream flowing into the pond? After I have the skimmer boxes set in, I will put folds in the liner and rock it in. I would also like to dig out an overflow stream that flows into the in-ground trampoline that I have, in case the water level gets to high. Let me know if you have any suggestions that will help. Thank You!

Having your water level dropped as you do has a couple things to keep in mind
1. How do you hide the liner. This actualy is not hard to answer but it will require where ever your water line is to have f t om that point down another 4 to 6 inches where a shelf that runs v along the ponds edge will be so 12 inch rocks can be placed and 4 to 6 will be underwater at the ponds high point.
This gives you a little bit o an aid with the blue heron. If you have your side walls 24 inches or more above the waterline it makes fishing for the heron much harder and limits their effectiveness.

How do you plan on replacing evaporation waterless.

Having the stream drop like 6 inches into the ponds creates a little rapid area and will create bubbles that will float across the pods surface . Don't ask me why but it mezmorizes most. And you can watch for hours.
