Hi I have had my pond for a number of years, it is a happy pond full probably too many of gold fish of different sizes.
I made my own filter box with spray arm and 3 sponges of different grades, an infra red light is also installed.
How ever this system has now become redundant due to the amount of debris in the water. The pond is unclear and waste material is settling [pon the weed etc, preventing normal growth.
The filter box sponges become blocked and over flows.
I am away quite a lot and this presents a problem for my neighbour who keeps his eye on the pond.
I would like suggestions on how to correct the problem
I suppose I will have to change the filtration system, but how do I get the water clear again.
