Hi everybody. In the east of the U.K. and new here in search of an ID to small creatures floating in a new half barrel aquatic garden. Literally hundreds of them hanging on the inside of the barrel. I don’t want to post in the wrong section. Is there a dedicated ID thread where I could post a photo? Not mosquitoes, they were the first pests dealt with. Only recently spotted these new ones. Thanks for any help. Best wishes

Welcome! There is no dedicated ID thread I know of so Garden Pond Talk should be fine.

@Bill Brakes
Could be Black Fly Larvae. I'll look at your Garden Pond Talk post.

Sure would help if you able to make an image of the 'critters' in your pond. It is simply amazing what appears in our water features!
