Well folks I'm back from my second heart proceedure Cardioversion on my heart was a complete success and at last my heart has gone back into its normal rate again .
However I'm grounded for the next 24 hours and Val is now my nurse for the rest of the day.
We arrived at the hospital at 07:15 this morning and I was taken down at around 10:30 however there were two waits one for a BP machine that was working , the other was for the anethatist .
By the time the anesthetic wore off from the proceedure it was Midday and I was taken to the recovery ward for a well earned sleep .
Then I had a wait for the Nurse from the cardioversion side to come and hand me some paper work and to look at a second ECG taken on the ward , I was then allowe a sandwich BLT and two of the nicest cups of tea I've ever tasted.
The ther was a wait for the canular to be removed before Val was finally allowed into the wards waiting area for her to pick me up and take me home by 16:00
So we are keeping our fingers crossed that the heart will stay where its at at the moment

Thank you all for your kind wishes @Big Lou Val says thank you very much then laughed then said yes she will be keeping a stern but loving eye on me making sure I dont do too much .
At least now I hope to get the go ahead from my colerectal surgeon to get the secral nerve stimulation operation I do so need .
The Cardioversion Nurse said they are keeping Mr Ahpong in the loop and by careful manipulation of my blood thinners the operation should be able to proceed.
I was top of the waiting list for this operation and the week I was supposed to have the first part of the operation they put me on blood thinners negating the operation lest I bleed into the secral sac which could appartently do so much damage that I would never walk again .
But the heart trumped the operation however my place at the top of the list is frozen at the top so as soon as possible it can go ahead .
So its a case of watch and wait .

Glad to hear that the procedure was finally successful. One does not realize how a chronic irregular heart rate can affect one's general feeling of well-being. At least not until the heart is able to return to 'Sinus'. You should feel like a new person.

Dave, I'm so happy to hear the procedure went smoothly. I'll be most interested in your thoughts after you have the spinal cord stimulater surgery, as its been recommended for my daughter, but she's resistant.

Thanx Johnny with my busted up legs and other health issues I'll try to live a long life , I had the start and formative years messed up by a drunken StepFather who was handy with his fists on me and Mum .
I joined the Navy and saw some really nice places but on leaving I ran with the bikers Many ex military people I knew back then did the same .
But a bike crash messed up my legs and after many opeations they are a mess with Chronic Arthritis, a caliper to support my left foot , the only good thing that came out of all this was my good lady who was working as a landscape gardener in the Military hospital I was in .
She changed my life around bless her , we then found she was suffering Facioscapularhumeral MD or FSH to them in the know
We chose animals instead of children simply because we didnt want to pass on the defective Jean we have a cat family and our koi and are happy

29 years this year 30 years next my friend :) 17 years of utter bliss before that I had untreated PTSD with nightmares most nights
Not my fault as I now know but guilt was the last thing I had to let go {strange feeling guilty about your Mum and dads divorce and guilt about being beaten to a pulp and not being able to protect Mum as a child [strange how he got me out of the family home when I got to my teens , truth was he was a coward and he was frightened of me and what I may do to him] :chicken:
Involving a battered Mum and the knife I was going to stab him with [ now I'm glad I didnt realize he was asleep upstairs drunk] we fled the house to a friends house but had I caught up with him at that time] .
I can talk about it nowadays without any nightmares  he died a few years ago a lonely broken drunkard [good ridance to bad rubbish ]

So glad to hear the procedure went well! You of all people know that if the pump isn't working right the rest of the pond suffers................:)
We're happy for you! Listen to Val!
