Bubbles in cotton wool

Ive had a look through some other threads, but I don't to seem to find a the answer I'm looking for!
In last week or so, a new weed has started growing on the lining of the pond, possible introduced with my new fish. Its about 2 inches long and bit stringy or cotton wool like. I wasn't too concerned as the new snails are loving it, but today, its is now covered in a carpet of tiny bubbles, Im hoping its oxygen... Anything to worry about

Are you sure its bubbles and not eggs? sounds like string algea and blanket weed.

If swish the water, the bubbles come up and burst... Could be two different weed/algea's growning together, I suposse.
