Gill bump on shubunkin

within the last 24 hours a shubunkin has a raised bump on gill with a white spot. He is very active and otherwise seems fine. Does anyone know what this is?

We have one that has the exact same thing - two of them actually. I have no clue what it is, but will have to watch and see what happens. It's my prettiest shubbie, too - of course!

I'll go with the stress coat. Imo it's kinda like Neosporin and pennisilin mixed into one. It helps fish rebuild immune system as well as produce a stronger slime coat which is crucial for fish.
