If you have chloramines in your water they do not dissipate like chlorine will.
Sure they do, it just takes longer.
Unless Craig is in an incredible hurry (eg; fish waiting in a bag beside his pond) there is really no need to spend his money on de-chlorinator. Just run the pond and wait a few extra days and test the water, something everybody should be doing anyways.

Makes me glad I have well water :)even though you are limited to what the earth gives you and if you abuse it you pay .;)
