I see food pellets, that is one thing I do to try and photo my fish.

I think the orange and black one is my favorite, but the sanke in the third picture is my favorite shot. That's a cool pic!

Sumi orengi? That's a first for me, I've never seen one called that in any books. lol I would say Hi Bekko. But your name does correctly identify as that is what the colors say. LOL I think fish like that make identifying tricky and challenging.

The word Bekko is translated as tortoise-shell. Splotching with no distinct pattern, It would actually be called a AKA Bekko going by Koi Kichi book, Hi can be used to refer to orange or red but in most cases should be used when the color appears to be red against a white background. Hmmm, learn something new while reading that! Another Koi book I have shows it as Hi bekko but Koi Kichi doesn't say anything about a Hi Bekko, I was going by the Hi bekko as that is one of the cheaper books has one similar marked and what I have been calling my VERY simialr marked koi for over a year. Guess I actually have a AKA Bekko too. (Note; I don't like the AKA name at all, that's only the second or third time I have seen that used and I don't like it, Your name to me is far more clearer in discription than AKA) Koi Kichi only shows three bekko's AKA - Red, Ki- yellow, Shiro- would be white.
