It found the flowers. I watched it drop from the ceiling of the cage. It slowly flapped a bit and walked around on the flowers. Very cool. Hopefully tomorrow I can release it.

Beautiful! I had hoped my last black swallowtail would be female but I had to go out so left the container outside with the door open. It hatched and flew away while I was gone. I've had several females on the hummingbird feeders the last 2 days but when I try to get close, they fly off.
