Yeah, I always love looking at other people's builds. I ended up buying the above based off of suggestions on pump sizes, waterfall styles, I will post my final pictures of my new build by the end of the week. I will also hopefully get some nice koi!
@thepondperson Where are you going to put the koi? Do you have a pond big enough?

Yeah I should be good. I am still wondering if anyone has recommendation for cheap filtering unit.

Are you seriously planning to keep koi in a 55 gallon tub? Koi grow large and they need lots of room -- like 1000 gallons per fish. They need a lot of filtration. From the information on you've been giving us, it doesn't sound like you have that kind of set up. Do you have another pond that hasn't been mentioned yet?

And no recommendations for a cheap filtration system. With koi you don't need cheap, you need effective!

I am going to go with a slightly smaller pump 660-790 gph, but I have a question regarding ponds.

Of these two tubs, I actually need to get a new one as mine sprung a leak and it's old and worn out , so of these two which is better?

Or is there another one to recommend under $60?

Hi there! I am sure someone already addressed this. (I'm running out and don't have time to go over all posts.)

But a word of warning: galvanized metal has chemicals that will do neurological damage to fish and will kill them. We learned this the hard way. We had a gorgeous little porch container pond going -- but very sad for fish. I am sure you can line it somehow -- but just be aware.

Good luck!

I bought a pot at Lowes and some tubing. You can tip it so it waterfalls.

I ended up using the pitcher well hand crank pump idea: Here's my final build, everything seems to be working great!

I used a prefilter, but hooked it so a second pump, so I have 2 running pumps.
