When I joined this Forum last year, I read about high ph and concrete and immediately removed every concrete pot my husband had made for the plants in the pond, but my ph never changed one bit, so after a while, I put them all back in the water
Very cool do you have a photo of pots your husband made ? I have a cement mold for lions head, but how many lion heads can one use

The pots in the pond are impossible to be seen at the moment, because the plants grew over them, but I can show you some I have around the pond
I have all different sizes! I replace some of the stones of the perimeters with theses pots, they blend right in
They have a large opening on both ends, so I use them straight up on dry land, and I tip them over (like a volcano) in the water

Yesterday we went looking for ideas on what to use to build our next pond, and we saw these 8"x17" blocks we really liked! The liner will separate the blocks from the water, but I was wondering if it'd be ok to also used them inside the pond, in the step down from the plant section to the main pond, or would it raise the (already high) ph too much? View attachment 105034[/QUOTE If I am not mistaken these are the same blocks I used..... Worked out well for me..... I have Underlayment and liner between the blocks and pond and I also used motar to smooth out the inside edges

@sissy I love your leaves, you're very talented!
@Jimmy Gibson I love your pond! I believe your pond helped me create the vision of the one I want, only difference being that I envision a waterfall spilling in a separate tub just for plants and then onto the fish pond, same setting I currently have and love.
How come you don't have a showcase?

Jimmy that looks fantastic! What are the dimensions?
Approximately 15' wide X 18' long X 4' at deepest point...... 3000 gallons. Hindsight I wished I had incorporated a bog on the upper end. I still could and have a plan, but can't seem to talk the boss into it. I think she is tired of construction mess..... Lol

I thought we were set on using these blocks, but after spending the weekend watching youtube videos on sculpted concrete, we changed our minds and are now thinking of building the pond out of cheap cinder blocks, and then cover the face with sculpted concrete stones....what do you guys think?
This guy's work is amazing!
