Zebra mussels are a pita, they are in the Chesapeake Bay and it’s tributaries. Actually spread out into places I’ve never seen them in before a couple years ago due to excessive rain. They grow on everything that is stationary in the water, drop a rope in the water for a week covered in zebra mussels, boat props, choking out native barnacles, that normally grow. That rain lowered the salinity enough in the bay for them to survive, fortunately it only lasted that summer then they died off and didn’t come back at least not until we get excessive spring rains.
