Thanks, guys n' dolls! I don't know what I accidentally managed to get right re: water clarity, but I'm glad I did because it's always that clear. And thanks for the compliments about my water babies. I never in my life thought I'd be so attached to FISH.

And thanks DrDave re: my koi, Fred. I love him so, and have enjoyed fattening him up... but he was acquired accidentally so I'm currently looking for a new home for him. My pond is far too small for him already.

Thanks again, everyone. Hearing such things from you people who have been ponding loooooong before I even THOUGHT about it... is VERY inspiring.
