How do I get rid of algae?

My pond is only 2 weeks old, approximately 400 gallons, IPOND 5in1 Pump/Filter System, one tier waterfall, 7 Goldfish (30”), water level is only 12” deep, I use city water with API Pond Chlorine and Heavy Metal Remover. I feed them Tetra Goldfish Variety Pellets once a day. I use the API Pond Master Test Kit (drops) Pond levels are: PH 7.0-7.5 Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Phosphate 0
I haven’t tested the city water.
I have 2 Floater Plants (can’t remember the name) that algae stick too and the fish eat off of. I have a Cat Tail in a pot as well as another plant. It’s been in the lower to mid 80s, 2pm the water temperature is 90. They seem happy and swimming around (not hiding) I made them a shade area about 3 1/2’ long and goes back about a foot. I’m planning on putting some sort of shade over them this weekend and get some shade plants. So...how do I get rid of the slimy green coat that is on Everything???? I was told not to use a chemical such as Algae Remover. I have used that in a previous pond and did lose fish but I’m not sure if that was the cause. Please help this New Pond Momma! Thanks

Be patient and give the pond time to mature.
Don't be obsessed about how clean everything is, a good layer of carpet algae on the bottom and submerged
rocks is a good thing, it's all part of the biological process.

By the way, that is a very nice looking pond, well done !

Thank you! What are your thoughts on the River Rocks on the ledges? They’re just for looks but wondering if I should take them out. And do you know anything about the pump/filter I’m using? I’m thinking about doing the “Trashcan Filer System”

It's your pond, so decorate it however you want, as I said it's a very nice looking pond, as time passes, i am sure that you will want to tweak things to your liking.
As for the pump/filter, I have no experience with the type that you have, so I can't comment.

Very nice pond and your choice on the rocks in the water if that's what you are talking about. They will just turn green but the fish will enjoy picking at them. The short green slime on your liner is a good thing, don't remove it. It's beneficial to water quality and the fish love it. The long stringy kind of algae is what everyone wants to get rid of and if you ever get that just use a clean toilet brush and grab and wrap and pull it out.

Nice pond! Your water is nice and clear. I don't see much algae growth in there, so I'm not sure what you are complaining about. Maybe I can't tell from the pictures.
Anyway, as stated, you want a thin green bio film coating. That's the good stuff. It helps with filtering and the natural ecology of the pond. Plus, would you rather see a nice green natural coating or a black rubber liner? I can't see any black liner in my pond. It's all a thick coating of green and my water is clear.
I use a bog for filtration. I got tired of the maintenance with store bought and homemade filters. Plus they didn't filter as well as the bog.

It can be clear with adequate filtration, plenty of plant life, beneficial bacteria growing in your filter, bio film coating your liner and water movement and or aeration.
Well my water is clear and all levels are good so I guess I have some happy and healthy fish!!❤️
