I have my lotus growing in a tub that circulates water from my pond/bog, but I know several folks seem to grow theirs in just a tub with water. Is it necessary to circulate the water or can it simply be submerged to be content?

Just what I wanted to know, thanks! Does it ever fill the tub maybe after a rain? And do you just let it evaporate normally? Or maybe drain it a bit?

Mine are in a 300 gallon stock tank, water from the big pond flows in via a hose and waterfalls into a small pond that waterfalls into the big pond. Small waterfalls, slow flow.

Been growing them this way for many years, never fertilized. They get fish waste.

My tub is full to the top.
