last year i left these guys in the outside pond. no food, no filter, no aeration, no hole in the ice, since the end of setember. since the thawing, ive been kind of checking the pond occasisonally to see if i could see any..no luck. except 1 or 2 of the orange ones. well today i saw a big bunch of them, and suprizingly quite a few "black" ones seem to have turned atleast more orange. and apparently atleast, "most" made it thru 7 months unattended totaly unscathed... i have left some in every year, but usually not even 20.

i'm down to about 10 fish left in the basement pond (not including my adults).. for still being "preseason", sales went well. only a week, ( a week today in fact), and 60+ are gone. gonna have to drain the outdoor pond and catch the ones out there real soon!... glad to see atleast a decent amount made it!

The others that did not make it probally got eaten by the bigger one.... you will have to have a big fishy blowout sale this weekend and find them a good home where they will be loved, Koi guy! And furthermore, make sure you do a "Home Inspection" to make sure those fishy find and good home! :)
