A trail cam on the other side of our property picked up a cougar at the same time so we thought that the moose cow and her calf were hanging around our house for protection. They stayed close around the house for about 4 days.

That's interesting how animals will adapt to their environment. They knew that the cougar would be less likely to venture close to your house because of people living there yet they didn't see you as a threat to them. I'd say shes a good mom for protecting her calf that way!
