Good evening all,

Making some progress on the cosmetics around the pond and I thought I would show some updated photos.

This is a shot from off the deck. I removed the end railing that was in the way of viewing the pond and we parked two chairs and a table so we could sit quietly and watch the fish.

Here is a shot of the walkway that will eventually be all the way around the pond:

And here is a weeping Japanese Maple that we are planting behind the boy fishing the pond:

nice improvements! You still need to work on hiding that waterfall container. Build up some rocks around it.

I really like the idea of a Japanese Maple near the pond.

Thank you all for the nice comments. My plan is to cover up that weir as per koikeepr's
idea with the rocks and plant the Japanese maple next to the pond incorporating the walkway around the Maple. That should complete the cosmetics par.

Nice! The challenge will be to make a natural looking stack. I would spread it wide so that it starts to take those curves you've got.
