I wouldn't apply WD-40 or dawn dishwashing liquid to anything I was going to use in a pond or with fish. Notice I said I wouldn't. I know the manufacturer does but they also sell these for multiple uses. Suggestions I would try first for lubrication if it was me, Fresh squeezed Aloa vera, Antibiotic ointment, mineral oil, vasoline, or cooking oil. ( In that order) All of these are natural, bio-degradable and far less likely to have bad effects if some should happen to get into the system.

Looks like an excellent product. I am contemplating building a new waterfall and bog and this will be much easier that using the plastic bulkheads from building supply stores.

yeah i looked around on several sites and no one suggested that. i just finally realized it was not going in without doing that.
