Dave Thank you for your advice Yes I do like to mix them up a bit. It's more interesting but I wont do it if it hurt other fish or that it gets constant harassment. I'll see if I could give away the betta.

It will happily survive for the time being till you get a new tank in a large jam jar just sterilize it before use then give it a good old rinse before the beta gues in add a small airstone set way down low and he'll be happy as Larry Nephen
