How do i safely catch or trap unwanted gold fish in my koi pond?

Can you use some kind a net or barrier to keep the koi separated from the goldfish? Then you could put a long handled net in the water, hold on to it and lower the net down a bit under water and then sprinkle a little food above the net and when the goldfish come to eat pull up net fast and get the buggers! Might take awhile as they will start to distrust you so you will have to come back later and try again and again.

We use a seining net bought from a sporting goods store. Takes 2 people, one on each side of the pond, holding onto the top.corners of the net. It has weights along the bottom edge to keep it from floating.

Start at one end of the pond and slowly walk it toward the other end, gathering the fish as you go. You will soon have all the fish in a small area and you can easily net out the ones you want to catch.
