Sadly this lily flower only bloomed for couple of days before receding back to pond and disappearing. I've already added fertiliser spikes to each lily but think will take a little more.

On some varieties the blooms only last a few days - others will last longer. Just the way they're made. Some years - my most ambitious years! - I have fertilized my lilies once a week. So you can definitely feed them A LOT - they love it!

Both types of water lilies that I have the flowers only bloom for 3 days.
