I recently added a few goldfish to my new pond. The pond has a waterfall and then the water flows down a little river into a basin. The current is quite strong. The food immediately flows across the basin and into the filter. How do i get the food to stay in the pond so the fish can feed?

a feeding ring, They can be purchased or you can make one out of PVC or tubing. they float on the surface and you throw the food into it so it doesn't go into the filter.
