What is this on my goldfish?

Hi everyone, i’m new here and very new to pond fish ownership (bought a house with a pond and although we were told all the fish had been rehomed we’ve discovered they havent been! No idea how many are in there but i spotted this little hitchhiker on one…

Can anyone tell me what this is?? Should i remove it and if so, how?

i would say its definitely in the leach and parasite family catch the fish and pull it off before it breeds

My first thought was fish lice, but that doesn't have the right shape.

I would try to remove it with tweezers.

If you have the Lens ap on your phone, it will search the web for a similar picture and might be able to identify it.
