“Emojis” and other editing tabs not working

I have just noticed this in the past few days, but none of the editing tabs are working. The menu for these is grayed out. Is there a setting somewhere that I have inadvertently switched off? I am using my iPad.

Maybe clearing the old browser cache fix it?

How do I do that? Whenever something doesn’t work, my husband always says to “turn it off then on again.” Could it be that simple?

Safari on iPad Pro, 13.4.1 iOS. I am back from a re-boot, and still no change.

OK! I FIXED IT! See the little settings wheel, upper right? Mine was orange. I tapped it....and my menu was back

Glad you got it sorted!

That is the "toggle BBCode" button, which disables the editor and shows some of the code language that is used in the editor.

Funnily enough, I've just seen a preview of the next version of the forum software which will improve the editor a lot .
