Are large fish valuable?

Hi All

I have several fish: Koi, Ghost Hoi and a couple of others that I have had for around ten years. They have healthy but the pond is way too small for them now as they are around 80 - 90cm.

I know that there are rescue services that will rehome them for free but people keep telling me they are worth £ thousands.

Does anyone in the UK know if there is a market for large Hoi and where to sell them?

Thank you.

IT ALL DEPENDS ON THERE QUALITY JUST BECAUSE IT'S BIG DOESNT EQUAL BIG BUCK . THOSE WHO DO PAY BIG BUCKS HAVE VERY STRICK THE FISH HAS TO HAVE THE RIGHT BODY SHAPE COLORS AND PATTERNS. sorry for caps

The answer is maybe, but doubtful. If they were valuable you would know because you would have paid a lot for them even small. Size isn’t the factor - as @GBBUDD said it’s body shape and color patterns that make a koi desirable to koi

There are people who think everything has a dollar value. It’s generally not the case. Someone may want your fish - and I do hope you can find a home for them - but they are doing you a favor by taking them. Or at the very least you are helping each other out.

Thank you for your answers. I guess the best way to to advertise them and if no one is interested, then I'll have them rehomed.
