I'm planning to redo my pond this spring and have been thinking of putting in a bottom drain. My pond is 12ft wide x 10ft long approx 4 ft deep but my pond is in the shape of a rounded triangle approx 3000 gallons. I want to put a skimmer in also right now I have a pressurized filter with a pump sitting at the bottom of the pond and I hate seeing the tubing coming out of the pond. Can I put in a bottom drain feeding into a skimmer then from skimmer to pressurized filter to a waterfall?

A pond that size in the UK warrants not one but two bottom drains you say you want a skimmer on one , why not connect the other to your filtration ?
We have only one bottom drain and that connects directly to our own
