Pond renovation area

Hi All,
I ma looking for some new idea for my fish pond, currently it is a square in shape with a make shift arrangement for protect with net. I do want to make it more beautiful at look and protection too. I have attached the photo of my current pond.
Possible I may keep the same shape, but built some display wall before the fence and have a better design for the protection, I don't like the look of it.
Happy for the consulting as well, if anyone would like to offer. I am in UK.

Not sure about succulents if they can grow over there but I would make that fence into a living fence. Add a waterproofing to the fence like rubber then build pockets for moss or even vines let nature do it's thing. Maybe a waterfall a few boulders and some moss and a tree stump
