elderberry - toxic or not?

Hi Forum just a litte help needed does anyone know if the elderberry tree is toxic to fish ponds my son is half way building his new pond and has a couple of elderberry trees hanging over the fence any help is appreciated

yes it is elderberry(Sambucus) is highly toxic to fish... so i would trim it away from the pond.
