I am fairly new to ponds, about 2.5 years. I have a large 16" Sanke male, a 12" female Tancho, a 12" Platinum, a 8" Kahaku and a couple of smaller ones various types. They were all grown from about 3" Kio. My pond is about 12' in diameter 3' deep, lined and covered with 3" river rock. I guess they are happy because I have tons of Fry. I was hoping that most would be eaten but it was been over a month and they are now 1" - 1.5" long and I have 1,000's?. I would like to get them out but it is impossible to catch these guys. I have netted a dozen but I don't have the time to set out on a crusade to get most of them. I was thinking of making something I could place in the pond, fill with food that the fry could get into but not out of. Does anyone have a better idea?
