Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I have my brother here today, son is coming to join us tomorrow! Sun predicted to show itself today, and temps to 60 today, 64 tomorrow! Woohoo!!! We bought one to cook on saturday, love left over turkey. Dexter is fun to watch..........

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I cooked about 6 hours yesterday and been cooking since 7am this morning, Should have the crew back over here for about 4:30. Right now relaxing taking a break enjoying the nice peaceful quite house before everyone gets back. some went to visit friends, some had other relatives to go see, some are sleeping because they had to work last night, and the wife is taking a nap. AHHH, it's nice to get to just sit down and relax for a few minutes! Mr. Tom should come out of the oven in about a half hour, MMMM MMMM MMMM good!

Love Dexter. Spent last night catching up watching 4 episodes of this season. I have a few more to go and I'm all caught up.

Just got through listening to my favorite Thanksgiving song from the past. Listen to it every year for a laugh! This is the original version from 1967.
The song is one of Guthrie's most prominent works, based on a true incident in his life that began on Thanksgiving Day 1965, and which inspired a 1969 movie of the same name.

We ate at his son's house, now cooking a turkey for us, doing the slow cook method. Love the left overs, making turkey soup stock from the bones.

My hubby makes turkey soup w/ the leftovers after we are done w/ it and it turns out sooooooooooooo good! We had a small turkey this year tho and have been gobbling it up so fast that I don't know if we'll have enough left. If not he said he will buy some of those giant turkey legs to add to it. Yummmmmmmmmmmmm!!!
